FASCIOTTI, TITTA

1927 - 1993
Born in Bergamo, Italy and resided in SA from 1948.

Painter of landscapes, still life, seascapes and figures. Worked in oil, acrylic, watercolour, ink, wash pencil and charcoal. A series of Karoo and AFrican Tribal scenes.

Studies:
1944 - 1948: Accademia di Belle Arti, Carrara, Bergamo Italy under Prof Achille Funi.
1952 - 1955: privately under WG Wiles.

Profile:
A member of the Watercolour Society of South Africa; the Brush and Chisel Club; Circolo Artistico Bergamasco, Italy, and the Accademia de Belle Arti, Florence. Travelled throughtout South Africa and Western Europe and lived in Italy in 1969.

Exhibitions:
1953: Participated in numerous group exhibitions in South Africa, Australia, Italy the USA and UK.
1963: Johannesburg, first of 31 solo exhibitions held in South AFrica and one held in Italy.
